Breaking News!!: Los Angeles, CA: Wyatt Butterfield’s surgery is completed after Wyatt’s mother was approved to be liver donor.
ZachNews has learned that 4 month old Wyatt Butterfield’s is doing well after having surgery to replace his liver with a new liver was done and completed late Thursday, January 19th, 2012.
According to Wyatt’s father Jordan Butterfield’s posting on the ‘Prayers for Wyatt’ Facebook page,
“Wyatt’s surgery is finally complete. He is headed to the ICU now. Pilar is doing very well. She has not needed any pain meds and is working on catching up on some much needed sleep.”
Many on Facebook are happy for the news and have been posting comments of support on the ‘Prayers for Wyatt’ Facebook Group Page.
Earlier, Wyatt’s aunt Jessica Sommers posted on the ‘Prayers for Wyatt’ Facebook page,
“New liver is in. They are finishing up. Don’t know how long that takes, but we have progress!.”
Wyatt’s mother Pilar (Powell) Butterfield had gone through testing to see if she can be the liver donor for her son Wyatt about a week ago today.
Wyatt Butterfield was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a birth defect in liver and is currently a patient at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles where the family is waiting for a liver donor.
Messages support are being posted onto the ‘Prayers for Wyatt’ Facebook page with many praising Wyatt’s mother Pilar (Powell) Butterfield and the doctors at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles who performed the surgery.
