Guest speakers Penny Rodriguez from Desert Communities Federal Credit Union in Downtown Needles, California and Janet Lechman from Chase Bank in Mohave Valley, Arizona spoke about what their bank and credit union has to offer to local businesses as they are try to ready for Friday, January 25th, 2013 as Bank of America will be closing their bank branch in Downtown Needles, California.

 

 

Guest speakers from Desert Communities Federal Credit Union and Chase Bank both agreed that this is a very sad and difficult time for the whole community as well as for the bank branch employees at the Bank of America in Downtown Needles, California and that both Desert Communities Federal Credit Union and Chase Bank are here to help the people of this community.

 

 

The Needles Chamber of Commerce is planning another meeting with both guest speakers from Desert Communities Federal Credit Union and Chase Bank and that meeting is planning to start at 5:00pm PT on Tuesday, October 9th, 2012 inside Juicy’s Famous River Cafe located at 2411 West Broadway in Needles, California.

Needles community celebrates Rivers Edge Bar and Grill ribbon cutting.

  

Needles, CA: The public came out to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Rivers Edge Bar and Grill on Tuesday, September 18th, 2012.

 

Many who attended the ribbon cutting event got to enjoy great tasty food from Rivers Edge Bar and Grill as well as enjoy the nice very of the Colorado River.

 

Edge Bar and Grill is under new ownership and is cooking up tasty burgers, delicious sandwiches, and fresh salads.

 

Ed Glidewell and his nephew Mike Matzen teamed up to own and operate the Rivers Edge Bar and Grill serving great food and drinks in a golf club environment with a view of the beautiful Colorado River.

 

Employees at Rivers Edge Bar and Grill enjoyed the ribbon cutting event and were very happy to see so many people from the Needles community coming in and congratulating the employees and owners of the Rivers Edge Bar and Grill.

A boot-stomping-ball of a good time at the spaghetti dinner stampede.

  

Needles, CA: A Spaghetti Dinner Stampede fundraiser dinner event was held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 at the Needles Elks Lodge in Needles, California hosted by the C.R.R.U. Rodeo Royalty.

The first Spaghetti Dinner Stampede fundraiser dinner event sold over 500 spaghetti dinner plates last Wednesday night.

The spaghetti dinner included tasty spaghetti, fresh salad, delicious garlic bread, and yummy desserts and was created by an amazing group of caring and hard working volunteers.

According to Colorado River Round Up Queen Alexis Timm, the Spaghetti Dinner Stampede event raises money for the group’s travel, hotel, and the rodeo horses expenses well the group travels to other rodeo events representing Needles, California.

Donations for the Rodeo Royalty Spaghetti Dinner Stampede came from many caring and helpful organizations and businesses like Boot Barn, Needles Elks Lodge, Fiesta Mexicana Restaurant (Mohave Valley, Arizona), Neighborhood Car Wash (Fort Mohave, Arizona), Safeway Grocery Store, DECO Food Service, In and Out Burgers, Denny’s, Sam’s Club, Walmart Store, and many more.

The Spaghetti Dinner Stampede was a boot-stomping-ball of a good time by everybody who attended which many hope that this spaghetti dinner fundraiser dinner will become a part of the Needles spaghetti dinner traditions.

Plans for next year’s Colorado River Round Up Rodeo which is held at the Needles Rodeo Grounds in Needles, California are still in the works and no date has been set at this time.

Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store welcomes Meet ‘n’ Greet event.

  

Downtown Needles, CA: The Needles Downtown Business Alliance and Needles Chambers of Commerce kicked off their monthly Meet ‘n’ Greet event held on Wednesday, September 12th, 2012 at the Saint Vincent de Paul Thrift Store in Downtown Needles, California.

 

 

Members of the business community around Needles, California came out to the  meet ‘n’ greet event and got to learn about what Saint Vincent de Paul does for this community which provides food, clothing, and services to help those in need and those who are homeless.

 

 

Co-owner of the Wagon Wheel Restaurant Susan Alexis won $60.00 during a 50/50 raffle and donated her prize money to both Saint Vincent de Paul and to the Needles Downtown Business Alliance.

All lanes of Interstate 405 between Interstate 10 to U.S. Route 101 will be closed in both directions because of a demolition project.

 

 

The closure will start at 12:00am PT on Saturday, September 29th, 2012 and will reopen at 5:00am PT on Monday, October 1st, 2012.

 

 

The Mulholland Bridge over Interstate 405 is being knocked down to widen Interstate 405.

Needles, CA: Back 2 School Friday Fiesta in Needles.

A Back 2 School Friday Fiesta is being held on Friday, September 28th, 2012 starting at 5:00pm to 8:00pm PT at the Needles Senior Center located at 1699 Bailey Avenue in Needles, California.

Dinner plates are $5.00 per plate and comes with 2 tacos, rice and beans, drink, and dessert.

There will be also a 50/50 raffle at the Back 2 School Friday Fiesta event.

All proceeds will go towards Parent Teacher Association (PTA) events throughout the school year.
