Downtown Needles, CA: Connecting communities together with the new Needles Link Route 200.

A community far away from the rest of the county will soon be connected by a bus route as the new Needles Link Route 200 will provide bus service from Needles, California to the communities of Barstow, California and Victorville, California in San Bernardino County, California.

Officers and dignitaries from the Victor Valley Transit Authority, City of Needles, Needles Chamber of Commerce, and from San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors District 1 all join together with the community during a ribbon cutting event held on Tuesday, June 7th, 2016 at Santa Fe Park in Downtown Needles, California to welcome in the new bus service linking communities together.

The new Needles Link Route 200 will give the public to be able to do business, handle court related matters, and enjoy what other communities have to offer that may not have been able to do before.

According to Victor Valley Transit Authority, the new Needles Link Route 200 will run from Downtown Needles, California, along Interstate 40, make a stop at the Bartsow Area Transit Bus Stop (Barstow Library near Court House) in Barstow, California where passengers can catch the Bartsow Area Transit Buses 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and Victor Valley Transit Authority Bus 15.

The new Needles Link Route 200 will then head along Interstate 15, making a stop at the Victorville Superior Court House in Victorville, California where passengers can catch the Victor Valley Transit Authority Bus 32.

The new Needles Link Route 200 will afterwards stop at the Victorville Transfer Point (Costco) in Victorville, California where passengers can catch the Victor Valley Transit Authority Buses 15, 22, 31, 32, 41, 45, 45X, 51, 52, and 55.

** The times of arrivals and departures for the new Needles Link Route 200 are as follows: **

**** Westbound and Southbound Route: ****

– Depart Downtown Needles, California at 6:15am PT

– Arrive at the Bartsow Area Transit Bus Stop (Barstow Library near Court House) at 9:30am PT.

– Arrive at the Victorville Superior Court House at 10:15am PT

– Arrive at the Victorville Transfer Point (Costco) at 10:30am PT.

**** Northbound and Eastbound Route: ****

– Depart Victorville Transfer Point (Costco) at 2:30pm PT

– Arrive at the Victorville Superior Court House at 2:45pm PT

– Arrive at the Bartsow Area Transit Bus Stop (Barstow Library near Court House) at 4:00pm PT.

– Arrive in Downtown Needles, California at 7:15pm PT.

According to Victor Valley Transit Authority, a restroom stop in Ludlow, California is available for passengers by request only.

The new Needles Link Route 200 will start operating on Friday, June 17th, 2016 and will operate on a weekly base every Friday.

According to Victor Valley Transit Authority, the new Needles Link Route 200 will cost $12.00 per person, $6.00 for Senior/ Disabled/ and Medicare, and children 5 years old and under are free (3 children maximum per adult fare: additional children must pay adult fare).

The Victor Valley Transit Authority want the public to know that the new Needles Link Route 200 seating is limited and reservations are recommended, and may be scheduled from 2 weeks in advance to the day prior to service before 5:00pm PT.

Residents in Needles, California may reserve curb-to-curb pick up and drop off service.

Needles Link Route 200 fare media may be used as fare on Victor Valley Transit Authority and Barstow Fixed Route and County Route buses on the same day of purchase at no additional charge.

Connecting service to San Bernardino, California is available via Victor Valley Transit Authority Route 15 B-V Link at Victorville Transfer Point for an additional fare.

Carry on items are limited to 2 packages and dimensions are limited to 22 X 9 X 14 inches and must remain in passenger lap or under seat.

Residents and businesses in Needles, California hope that this new bus service will open their community to the rest of the county bringing new people to discover what Needles, California has to offer.
