Breaking News!!: Orlando, FL: ‘The Voice’ Singer Christina Grimmie has died after being shot by a gunman after a concert.
A gunman shoots beloved “The Voice” contestant Christina Grimmie after a concert at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida at around 10:30pm ET on Friday, June 10th, 2016.

Authorities say that the singer had just opened for the band “Before You Exit” and was meeting fans and signing autographs a half hour after the concert ended when the gunman approached her and opened fire shooting her.

Christina Grimmie’s brother Marcus tackled down the gunman, only described as a 21 year old white male, in which the gunman then killed himself.
Authorities responded to The Plaza Live within 2 minutes after getting multiple 911 calls of the shooting.
Christina Grimmie was taken in critical condition to a hospital where she later died.
Orlando Police Department say the gunman was not from the Orlando, Florida and traveled here to “commit this crime” and planned to travel back.
Orlando Police Department also say that the gunman was carrying 2 handguns, 2 loaded magazines, and a large hunting knife.
Authorities say that they are not sure if the gunman attended concert or just showed up afterwards.
The gunman’s cellular phone and computer are being analyzed by authorities to try to find a motive into this deadly shooting.
Orlando Police Department say Christina Grimmie’s brother is a hero for tackling the gunman and preventing future loss of life.
Celebraties, government officials, and fans are is shock and in mourning for the lose of a beloved singer with many of her fans posting messages using the hashtag #RIPChristina
Adam Levine tweeted, “Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s death. Our hearts go out to her family”.
Selena Gomez tweeted, “My heart is absolutely broken. I miss you Christina”.
Before You Exit⇞ tweeted, “Today we lost an angel, sister, and a beloved friend. #RipChristina”.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie tweeted, “Very sad to hear of the tragic passing of NJ native Christina Grimmie. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends and fans.”
Authorities say that The Plaza Live had unarmed security checking bags, no off duty law enforcement officers, and no metal detectors; people coming in were not frisked.
Orlando Police Department say that they have never had an issue with The Plaza Live.
The Plaza Live released a statement about the deadly shooting saying, “The board and staff at the Plaza Live venue are deeply saddened by the tragic events of Friday evening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those lost, as well as those that witnessed and aided in the recovery after this senseless act. We are closely working with the Orlando Police Department on this active law-enforcement investigation and therefore necessarily defer specific questions to OPD’s public information officer. All activities and events at the Plaza Live venue have been suspended until further notice. Grief counselors will be provided to the involved staff, and we will be partnering with our concert promoter, AEG, to support the artists and their families as appropriate. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support during this traumatic time.”
