As you know, the Western Region International Council of Shopping Centers (I.C.S.C.) is the west coast version of the International Council of Shopping Centers (I.C.S.C.) Real Estate Convention 2016, which is held each May in Las Vegas, Nevada.
By review, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the City of Needles held over 20 meetings with various retailers and developers.
At least 2 of those meetings were actively pursuing projects in Needles, California.
SimonCRE is currently under construction with a new Dollar General located off of Hospitality Lane and J Street and the new AutoZone is currently working through a parcel map at Needles Towne Center located off of East Broadway near Interstate 40.
The Western Region International Council of Shopping Centers (I.C.S.C.) is also unique in that the City of Needles will participate in a shared booth at the event, thus having a physical presence that bolsters our message to potential retailers and developers.
In the next couple of weeks, we will begin putting together a meeting schedule focused on about 2 dozen or so retailers that desire a combination of the demographics of Needles, California and the geographic location (access to 12,000+ vehicles per day along Interstate 40).
