Lenwood, CA: Deputy rescued family dog in rushing water during a rain and hail storm.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Barstow Station was able to rescue a family dog and return her to her owners following a massive hail storm that occured on Friday, July 1st, 2016.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Slawson spotted the family dog stranded in rushing water, whining, and couldn’t move in the area of West Main Street and Frank Street near Divine’s Liquor in Lenwood, California.

Deputy Slawson got out of her car, got a rescue rope, and lassoed the family dog and brought it to safety.

The family dog was then reunited with her family who was frantically searching for her all day.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department want to remain the public to always take extra precautions not only in the heat, but flash flooding as well.
