Colorado River Tri-State: Celebrating Independence Day 2016.

Come on out to celebrate the beautiful United States of America by enjoy some of the communities’ Independence Day events and fireworks shows on Monday, July 4th, 2016.

**** Independence Day Events and Fireworks Shows Locations: ****

** Laughlin, Nevada Area: **

– The Avi Resort and Casino will bring hosting a beautiful fireworks show over the Colorado River.

The fireworks show is schedule to start at around 9:00pm PT at the Avi Resort and Casino located at 10000 Aha Macav Parkway.

** If Needles Highway in Needles, California is still closed due to storm damage, the public can get to the Avi Resort and Casino by using Aztec Road from Mohave Valley Highway (Highway 95) in Fort Mohave, Arizona. **

The fireworks show at the Avi Resort and Casino is free.

The Avi Resort and Casino will be having food and beverage specials as well as cash drawings before the fireworks show.

The fireworks show will have live simulcast music set specifically to the fireworks show on KROCK FM 100.7; KRAZY FM 96.7; KZUL FM 104.5, 95.3, and 95.9; KFAT FM 96.3; and KISS FM 99.1 and 101.9.  

– A fireworks show titled the “Rockets Over The River” will be held over the Colorado River.

The fireworks show is schedule to start at around 9:30pm PT along the Riverwalk area between the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino located at 1650 South Casino Drive and the Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall located at 2200 S Casino Drive.

The fireworks show will have live simulcast music set specifically to the fireworks show on the Cameron Broadcasting Stations including K-STAR 1000 AM; KAAA 1230 AM; KZZZ 1490 AM; Country K-FLAG at 95.9 FM and 94.7 FM; LUCKY 98FM; and The Knack 107.1 FM.

The fireworks show between the Riverside Resort Hotel and Casino and the Pioneer Hotel and Gambling Hall is free.

** Lake Havasu City, Arizona: **

A fireworks show called the “Fireworks Over the Lake” will be held over Lake Havasu.

The fireworks show is schedule to start at approximately 9:00pm PT across the bay from Spectator Point, which is at the south end of The Nautical Beachfront Resort. 

The fireworks show will have live simulcast music set specifically to the fireworks show on KNTR AM 980.

The public can watch the fireworks show from a boat in Thompson Bay located on Lake Havasu, at Rotary Community Park located at 1400 Smoketree Avenue North, at The Nautical Beachfront Resort located at 1000 Mcculloch Boulevard North, and at London Bridge Beach located at 1340 McCulloch Boulevard (Enter at the corner of McCulloch Boulevard and Beachcomber Boulevard).

At Thompson Bay, please anchor both bow and stern due to winds and current, anchor early as Thompson Bay fills up.

At Rotary Park, there is plenty of free parking and a straight view of the fireworks. Coolers are allowed but no alcohol or pets permitted.

At The Nautical Beachfront Resort, there is plenty of free parking on the island. Coolers and outside alcohol not permitted.

At London Bridge Beach, there is free parking on the island. Coolers are allowed.

Organizers are asking the public with pets who aren’t uncomfortable to loud fireworks going off to please leave pets inside their cool home or camper because pets may get startled and may hurt their sensitive ears. 

Law enforcement officers and deputies across the Colorado River Tri-State area will be out in force patrolling the area and public events watching for law breakers, trouble makers, drunk drivers, and people not obeying the rules of the road and on the water.

If on the water, please make sure you have all the right safety gear and items required for boating.

Law enforcement and fire departments officials across the Colorado River Tri-State area are asking the public that if fireworks are illegal in your area, do not set fireworks off there. 

Law enforcement and fire departments personnel will be patrolling communities for anybody setting off fireworks in areas where fireworks are illegal as well as to make sure there isn’t any fires caused by illegal fireworks.  

Please use common sense, respect others people, and do not endanger other people who are celebrating our wonderful and great country.
