News Alert!!: San Bernardino County, CA: Angela Valles calls for resignation of Children and Family Services Director Marlene Hagen.
San Bernardino County Supervisor Candidate Angela Valles on Thursday, July 7th, 2016 called for the resignation or termination of San Bernardino County Children and Family Services Department Director Marlene Hagen.
This call for resignation or termination follows a news story aired on Fox affiliate KTTV Channel over 11 months ago titled “The Children Are Dying” reporting on disturbing allegations of children being abused, tortured, and killed, children who were under the supervision of the San Bernardino County Department of Children and Family Services in San Bernardino County, California.
With the help of whistleblowers from within the department, the report detailed horrific cases of children dying or needlessly suffering in homes that were being investigated by San Bernardino County Department of Children and Family Services.

“Our children depend on us to protect them from harm. In many cases the County has done just the opposite,” said San Bernardino County Supervisor Candidate Angela Valles.
“Those who neglected their jobs must be held accountable. It starts at the top. Children and Family Services Director Marlene Hagen must resign or be terminated right away.”
The County Grand Jury report released last week confirms the gross negligence and inept leadership going on at San Bernardino County Children and Family Services Department.
“It’s been almost a year since the initial FOX report and a week since the Grand Jury verified those claims in their report, and still no action by County leadership ,” said San Bernardino County Supervisor Candidate Angela Valles.
“Where is the outrage for these dead children? We must stand up for these defenseless kids.”
San Bernardino County Supervisor Candidate Angela Valles also points out that the Victorville, California office has been particularly problematic and First District Supervisor Robert Lovingood has remained silent about the cases of dead and abused children in the High Desert.
“A true leader and representative of our community would have taken immediate action to correct deficiencies in this broken system,” San Bernardino County Supervisor Candidate Angela Valles concluded.
“Robert Lovingood has turned his back on this County scandal, offering no hope to our county’s abused children. I intend to change that if elected County Supervisor”
