Downtown Needles, CA: Ribbon cutting ceremony held for new electric vehicle charging station.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for a new electric vehicle charging station on Tuesday, July 12th, 2016 in Downtown Needles, California.

Representatives from the City of Needles, Mojave Desert Air Quality Management District, and Needles Chambers of Commerce were presented at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new electric vehicle charging station.

After the ceremony, ZachNews talked with Needles City Manager Rick Daniels about the new electric charging station, if there’s enough of a local demand for the new electric charging station, and how much will the new electric charging station will cost for the public.

According to Needles City Manager Rick Daniels, the electric chargers will be free during the demonstration and introduction period so to get the word out to the public, but in the future, the public will have to pay to charge their electric vehicles.

ZachNews talked with Rob Terry, General Manager at Findlay Motor Company located at 2565 Laughlin View Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona, about the nice electric car on displayed at the ceremony and about insensitive offer to people wanting to purchase a clean energy vehicles such as an electric car.

The public can charge up their electric vehicles and the new charging station located just across the street from McDonald’s fast food restaurant and next door to the Rodeway Inn and Suites at 1199 Third Street in Downtown Needles, California.

This is the second electric vehicle charging station in the Needles, California area with the first electric vehicle charging station being a Tesla vehicle charging station located at the Shell Gas Station located at 2451 Needles Highway in Needles, California.
