News Update!!: Bullhead City, AZ: Barricade situation over.

According to the Bullhead City Police Department, the barricade situation on the 700 block of Roadrunner Drive in Bullhead City, Arizona is over with a female suspect taken into police custody.

Bullhead City Police Department identified the suspect as 47 year old April Dezerienne Silvis.

According to the Bullhead City Police Department, at 9:30am PT, an officer responded to a report of a domestic dispute between April Dezerienne Silvis and her mother at the home. 

When the responding officer arrived, he was reportedly met with a gunshot as he was outside the residence, but no injuries have been reported.

The armed suspect then locked herself in a bedroom at the resident.

According to the Bullhead City Police Department, the mother told officers that her daughter suffers from mental health issues and had been staying at her residence for a couple of weeks.

Multiple attempts were made to contact the suspect. 

SWAT team ultimately used tear gas, forcing April Dezerienne Silvis to exit through a bedroom window in which where she was taken into police custody.

April Dezerienne Silvis was reportedly taken by paramedics to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for mental and medical evaluation.

The barricade situation, which started over 2 hours ago, came to an end before 12:40pm PT on Thursday, August 11th, 2016.

SWAT team, along with many law enforcement officers and vehicles, were on scene and are packing up.

Bullhead City Police Department will be reopening nearby streets soon.
