The vegetation fire started before 11:00am PT on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016.

The vegetation fire has burned down several mobile homes and structures.
Mandatory evacuations ordered for Lytle Creek and for West Cajon Valley.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the mandatory evacuations are for the area north of Highway 138, east of Sheep Creek, south of Phelan Road, and west of Caliente.
The American Red Cross has set up an emergency shelters for evacuees at the Jessie Turner Community Center located at 15556 Summit Avenue in Fontana, California and at Sultana High School located at 17311 Sultana Street in Hesperia, California.
A shelter for large and small animals has been set up at the Devore Animal Shelter located at 19777 Shelter Way in Devore, California and at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds located at 14800 7th Street in Victorville, California.
Interstate 15 is closed Oak Hills to Devore and Highway 138 is closed Highway 2 to Interstate 15.
The vegetation fire has engulfing power lines in flames.
Multiple fire department agencies as well as water dropping helicopters are battling the vegetation fire.
