Here is the latest information on the capture of the bomber in the bombings in Seaside Park, New Jersey, and in Chelsea, New York.

The suspect in the New Jersey and New York Bombings was charged on Monday hours after being captured by authorities following a shootout battle with authorities in Linden, New Jersey on Monday.

The suspect, 28 year old Ahmad Rahami, the naturalized native of Afghanistan, was charged with 5 counts of attempted murder of a law enforcement officer during the shootout battle that left at least 2 law enforcement officers wounded.

Authorities identify the 2 wounded law enforcement officers are Angel Padilla and Peter Hammer.Angel Padilla was shot in the torso, but he was not seriously wounded because he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Authorities say Angel Padilla is expected to make full recoveries.It’s wasn’t clear where Peter Hammer was hit, but authorities say that Peter Hammer is expected to make full recoveries.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the suspect, Ahmad Rahami, was shot 10 times, including once in the leg, was taken to a hospital by ambulance, and is expected to survive.

The suspect was seen being rolled out on a stretcher into an ambulance and was alert and conscious.Federal charges were still pending, and the United States Attorneys in New York and New Jersey will likely charge him with terrorism in the coming days.

Authorities say 28 year old Ahmad Rahami was wanted in connection with a series of blasts that terrorized New York and New Jersey over the last 3 days was taken into police custody after a gun battle with law enforcement officers.

Ahmad Rahami was shot in the leg and possibly the arm but managed to shoot a law enforcement officer in the hand and another in a bullet proof vest during the 10:30am ET confrontation in Linden, New Jersey.

The injuries sustained by Ahmad Rahami, who was being treated at a local hospital, and the law enforcement officer did not appear to be life threatening, officials.

According to Linden Police Department Captain James Sarnacki, the search for Ahmad Rahami ended after law enforcement got a call about a man sleeping in the doorway of a local bar. When law enforcement officers arrived, a law enforcement officer tried to rouse him.

“The gentleman on the ground picked up his head, and the officer saw that he had a beard and resembled the wanted person from the poster … from the bombings,” said Linden Police Department Captain James Sarnacki.

Authorities also found more information that pointed to Ahmad Rahami on cell phones that were wired to the unexploded bombs.

Ahmad Rahami was not on any terror watch lists before the bombings attacks.Authorities continue to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity in both states.

After the arrest of a terror suspect, people are wondering and asking if there are other terror suspects area or if there are any terror cell operating in New York and New Jersey.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, there are no indication of a terror cell operating.

According to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, “No other individual that we’re looking for at this time.”

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is saying that 5 people taken into police custody on Verrazano Bridge were not arrested and have been released.
