Needles, CA: Deputies identify and arrested a suspect wanted for grand theft auto.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, at 2:37pm PT on Friday, September 23rd, 2016, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 2100 block of Lilyhill Drive in Needles , California reference a stolen vehicle.
The victim’s Toyota Tundra was driven east on Lilyhill Drive, by an unknown suspect.
At approximately 8:00pm PT, the vehicle was located near the east end of the S Street, a flood control channel.
At approximately 8:30am PT on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016, Detective Preston and deputies conducted a probation check on the 2100 block of Lilyhill Drive in Needles, California.
At this time, evidence was obtained that led to the suspect being identified as 31 year old Mark Gardner from Needles, California.
Mark Gardner is currently on Post Release Community Supervision for Grand Theft Auto.
San Bernardino County Probation Officer Dunlop was contacted to confirm Mark Gardner’s current address.
Deputies made contact with Mark Gardner at his residence in the 1900 block of Desoto Street in Needles, California.
Mark Gardner was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colorado River Station.
Mark Gardner was booked for Grand Theft Auto and a No Bail hold was placed by San Bernardino County Probation.
