Gunfire erupts at law enforcement in Azusa, California on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016.
The shooting incident was reported at 2:05pm PT at West Fourth Street and North Orange Avenue.
According to the Azusa Police Department Officer Jerry Willison, officers were met with gunfire at the scene and that they found themselves pinned down by gunfire.
Authorities worked to extract the pinned-down officers.
Paramedics were setting up triage for further possible victims near a park.

A staging area and perimeter were established, as several neighboring law enforcement agencies went to the scene to assist.
According to the Azusa Police Department, all residents in the area shelter in place and to please stay out of the area of West Fourth Street and North Orange Avenue.
Slauson Middle School was on lockdown and students would not be released from campus until an “all clear” was given by law enforcement.
A nearby Polling Place in the area was reportedly put on lockdown after shooting breaks out.
