The Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 Christmas in the Park 2016 will be held from 10:00am to 5:00pm PT on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at Santa Fe Park, located on the 900 block of Front Street, in Downtown Needles, California.
Sponsored by the Needles Downtown Business Alliance, the Ol’ St. Nick on Route 66 Christmas in the Park 2016 will have food vendors, shopping booths, craft booths, music, kids games, and much more.
Usually, many of the food vendors, art and craft vendors, and bounce houses are set up in Santa Fe Park, but due to windy conditions outside, a majority of the vendors will be inside the El Garces Train Depot and no bounce houses will be set up in windy conditions.
The Needles Regional Museum and the Community Thrift Shop is warm inside and will be open during the event until 2:00pm PT.
Also warm inside, the Santa’s Workshop, hosted by Desert Communities Federal Credit Union and the Women’s Club of Needles, will be happening during the event between 10:00am and 2:00pm PT inside the Desert Communities Federal Credit Union.
Well there, sign your children up for the annual community toy drive.
There will also be a lighted parade at 5:00pm PT and will go westbound along West Broadway, northbound along F Street, and go by Santa Fe Park westbound along Front Street.
Due to the event and lighted parade, some streets will be closed so plan ahead and arrive early.
ZachNews has learned that there will not be a tree lighting ceremony during the event, but there is talks of a tree lighting ceremony separate from the event being planned and will be announced as soon as an official date is confirmed.
