Downtown Needles, CA: Man from Camarillo, California was arrested for transportation of methamphetamine.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, on the evening of Sunday, December 4th, 2016, Deputy Whitcomb from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station contacted motorist 50 years old Walter Scott from Camarillo, California during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on West Broadway, near G Street, in Downtown Needles, California.
Walter Scott indicated that he was driving from Prescott, Arizona to Needles, California.
During the contact, the deputy located a plastic container in Walter Scott’s pocket, which contained methamphetamine.
An additional container was found in a hidden compartment in the bottom of a large methamphetamine pipe inside Walter Scott’s car.
Nearly 11 grams of methamphetimine was recovered along with miscellaneous paraphernalia to smoke methamphetamine with.
Walter Scott was arrested and booked at the Colorado River Station Jail in Needles, California and his bail was set at $125,000.
