People are packed up and heading back from their Christmas Weekend 2016.

Here are the weather and traffic conditions in and around our community.

– Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 55*F. North wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

– Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40*F. North northwest wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

**** Barstow, California: ****

– Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 50*F. East wind 11 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.

**** Mohave Valley, Arizona: ****

R 3 chain conditions will stay in place in the San Bernardino Mountains until further notice. Chains required all vehicles.

– California Highway Patrol:

At 8:30pm PT, Traffic Collision-1141 Enrt (Ambulance required en route): Interstate 40 Eastbound / Goffs Road Offramp: 2 Miles just west of Needles, California: Details 00333. Vehicle went off. White vehicle, possible S.U.V. Or Van, right before sign Vehicle entering and exiting in the Construction Zone. San Bernardino County Fire: Station 32 responding, required Mohave Valley Fire Department for “Soft Cover” over Needles, California.  

At 7:56pm PT, Traffic Collision-No Injures:  Nipton Road Offramp / Interstate 15 Southbound: Barstow, California.

As of 4:00pm MST, Route 66 at the Sacramento Wash near Topock, Arizona is reopened after flooding from passing storms over the Christmas Weekend 2016.
