Breaking News!!: Los Angeles, CA: Actress and the mother of Carrie Fisher, Debbie Reynolds, has died.

Actress and the mother of Carrie Fisher, 84 year old Debbie Reynolds, has died on Wednesday, December 28th, 2016.

Debbie Reynolds’ passing comes just a day after her daughter and beloved icon in the ‘Star Wars’ movies, 60 year old Carrie Fisher, who died at 8:55am PT on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

Debbie Reynolds’ son, Todd Fisher, said Debbie Reynolds was under a lot of stress over the death of her daughter and suffered a stroke at her home at about 12:00pm PT.

Debbie Reynolds was transported in fair-to-serious condition from the home in the 1700 block of Coldwater Canyon Drive to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where Debbie Reynolds passed away at 5:39pm PT.

Todd Fisher said that Debbie Reynolds is “now with Carrie and we’re all heartbroken.”

Debbie Reynolds is best known for her role in the 50’s musical “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Debbie Reynolds was a Texas native who grabbed the attention of talent scouts when she entered a beauty contest at 16 years old.

Debbie Reynolds took on several roles before her major break as Kathy Seldon, a young dancer looking to make it to Hollywood, in “Singin’ in the Rain.”

Debbie Reynolds appeared in dozens more films, including “The Unsinkable Molly Brown,” which earned her Oscar and Golden Globe nominations.

Debbie Reynolds also appeared on “How the West Was Won,” “Three Little Words” and more.

Most recently, Debbie Reynolds was in the award-winning HBO movie “Behind the Candelabra,” portraying Liberace’s mother.
