Breaking News!!: Baker, CA: Shooting closes both directions of Interstate 15.

The California Highway Patrol has confirmed that a shooting has occurred along Interstate 15 near Baker Boulevard in Baker, California.

According to Adam Carmichall of the California Highway Patrol, at approximately 2:18am PT on Friday, January 6th, 2017, the California Highway Patrol initiated enforcement stop on a speeding vehicle traveling northbound on Interstate 15 north of Baker, California.

A short pursuit ensued and the suspect vehicle fired shots at the pursuing officers.

The suspect vehicle became disabled in the median on interstate 15 near Halloran Summit Road.

As of now, the suspects have not been located and it appears the vehicle is unoccupied.

Several businesses in the Baker, California tell ZachNews that the interstate is closed because a somebody shot at police earlier this morning on the interstate.

Both northbound and southbound interstate 15 have been closed.

If motorist utilize their G.P.S. to detour around the scene please advise they need have a full tank of fuel plenty of food and water and stay on paved roads.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Barstow Dispatch, northbound Interstate 15 is closed at Cima Road and southbound Interstate 15 is closed at the Valley Wells Rest Area.
