Breaking News!!: Chino, CA: Police pursuit of juvenile carjacking suspects ends at a closed youth correctional facility.

Many police pursuits broadcast live on television and online have a suspect or suspects trying their best to get away from authorities because they don’t want to go to jail.

But a police pursuit late at night on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 involving at least 5 juvenile carjacking suspects was different as the police pursuit drove close by a 2 men’s prisons and ended in a crash and bail at a closed youth correctional facility in Chino, California.

The police pursuit began after a report of a carjacking from a woman on the 800 block of Greycliff Avenue in La Puente, California.

The woman was reportedly threaten with a baseball bat then used the baseball bat to hit the woman before fleeing from the area taking the woman’s car.

The police pursuit was spotted at around 9:48pm PT on southbound State Route 71 before the State Route 91 with speeds over 90 mph.

During the police pursuit, the stolen vehicle began driving fast backwards along the breakdown on southbound State Route 71, made a u-turn, and crossed over to go northbound on State Route 71.

The police pursuit exited off northbound State Route 71 onto Euclid Avenue near Chino Hills, California where along a 2 lane roadway, began speeding on both sides of the roadway, including on the wrong side of the roadway.

A helicopter from the California Highway Patrol began following the police pursuit and were trying to get a helicopter and ground units from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on the police pursuit.

As the police pursuit continued on northbound on Euclid Avenue, the stolen vehicle crossed a red traffic signal light and may have scratched the back of a dark vehicle going eastbound on Pine Avenue in Chino, California.

The police pursuit continued on northbound on Euclid Avenue until Facility Drive where the stolen vehicle made a left turn onto westbound Facility Drive, continued westbound onto Cypress Avenue, made a u-turn just before the entrance to the California Institution for Men in Chino, California.

The stolen vehicle made made a stop and several people got out of the stolen vehicle then got back inside the stolen vehicle to then drive off again going westbound on Cypress Avenue.

The stolen vehicle began going westbound on Facility Drive driving with the lights off at high speeds and passing by the East Yard California Institution for Men in Chino, California before getting back onto Euclid Avenue.

The police pursuit came to an end at around 10:00pm PT when the stolen vehicle going southbound on Euclid Avenue made a fast right turn and crashed into a short wall along a roadway entering the closed Heman G. Stark Youth Correctional Facility, located at 15180 Euclid Avenue, in Chino, California.

The juvenile carjacking suspects bailed out of the stolen vehicle and ran in the direction of the Youth Correctional Facility.

People on the property, possibly security or correctional officers, were seen pointing authorities in the direction of the juvenile carjacking suspects.

Authorities began searching for at least 5 juvenile carjacking suspects, 2 females and 3 males, for hours until they were found and arrested.

The woman who was attack is expected to survive her injuries.

The Heman G. Stark Youth Correctional Facility has been decommissioned since February 2010.
