A discussion over California’s Sanctuary State and Secession came after Needles City Council Member Shawn Gudmundson requested to place the matter on the agenda for consideration.
Ms. Suzanne Sheppard appeared in front of members of the Needles City Council to discuss the “Sanctuary State of California and Secession” and requests that the Needles City Council consider adopting a resolution opposing a California Sanctuary State and Succession.
Ms. Suzanne Sheppard discusses more about Sanctuary State of California and Secession in a letter to the City of Needles Mayor and Needles City Council Members which was also made available for the public to view and read (Pictured Above).
The discussion over California’s Sanctuary State comes as California Governor Jerry Brown will soon have to decide whether to sign a bill that would essentially make California a “sanctuary state.”
The measure would ban state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration authorities.
The discussion over California’s Secession comes as efforts continues to get Californians to support and maybe vote on California independence.
According to the website “Yes California Independence Campaign”, In the Spring of 2019, Californians will go to the polls in a historic vote to decide by referendum if California should exit the Union, a #Calexit vote. You will have this historic opportunity because the Yes California Independence Campaign will qualify a citizen’s initiative for the 2018 ballot that if passed would call for a special election for Californians to vote for or against the independence of California from the United States.
The website “Yes California Independence Campaign” states that it is the responsibility of this campaign to explain what a yes vote will mean for you, your family, your community, our state, our country, and our world.
