Havasu Lake, CA: Deputies arrested a man for brandishing a firearm at the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino.
According to the San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department, on Friday, February 17th, 2017, deputies from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station responded to the Havasu Landing Resort and Casino in Havasu Lake, California for reports of a male customer brandishing a firearm at one of the gaming tables.
Upon arrival, deputies contacted the victim outside of the casino who reported 43 years old Jerry Mason from Lake Havasu City, Arizona pointed a firearm at him and threatened him.
Jerry Mason was located at the dock area at the Havasu Landing Resort Ferry and was arrested for Criminal Threats.
Jerry Mason was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail in Needles, California with a bail set at $50,000.00.
During the investigation, it was learned Jerry Mason may have thrown the firearm into the Havasu Landing Resort Marina.
On Monday, February 20th, 2017 members of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station’s Dive Team responded to the Havasu Landing Resort Marina and conducted an underwater search for the firearm.
Dive Team members recovered the suspected firearm a short distance from where Jerry Mason was believed to have thrown it.
