Breaking News!!: Los Angeles, CA: Major big rig and tanker truck crash and fire on southbound Interstate 5.
There has been a major big rig and tanker truck crash and fire on southbound Interstate 5 near Griffith Park, Between State Route 134 and Colorado Street, in Los Angeles, California.
The crash was reported before 11:00am PT on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017.

The majority of the wreckage is along southbound lanes of Interstate 5, but aerial footage shows a truck and trailer along the fast lane of northbound Interstate 5.
A person has been confirmed dead in the fiery crash, but it’s not immediately known which vehicle the person who died was in.
Well showing live aerial footage of the fiery crash, at least 2 television stations accidentally showed a scorched dead body near the guard rail on the southbound side of Interstate 5 as 2 firefighters were near by battling the flames from the crash.

According to the Los Angeles City Fire Department, a triage area was set up just north of the wreck.
At least 9 people were injured; a victim was in critical condition well 8 other people suffered “lesser” injuries.
More than 2 dozen Los Angeles City Fire Department firefighters were assisted by crews from the Glendale Fire Department.
The tanker truck appeared to belong to DDG Transport.
Speaking on behalf of the company, Darrel Green tells NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 that the tanker was hauling milk and its driver called to report being safe.
The crash had southbound Interstate 5 closed leaving motorists to use other alternate routes to get around the closure, including San Fernando Road and State Route 2 from the east and Riverside Drive and U.S. 101 to the west as a detour.
