A fatal vehicle crash occurred along U.S. Route 95 near Lobecks Pass in Needles, California at around 11:01am PT on Saturday, March 31st, 2018.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the reported party said the vehicle was heading towards them and the crash occurred, the vehicle collision occurred and debris was seen across the roadway.

The northbound lane of U.S. Route 95 was closed during the crash investigation and clean up.

The California Highway Patrol announced the vehicle crash has a fatality.

As of 1:39pm PT, the northbound lane of U.S. Route 95 was reopened.

As of 4:32pm PT, a medical helicopter has been called. California Highway Patrol is saying that the driver has head and back injuries.

As of 4:52pm PT, an ambulance from Mohave Valley Fire Department has arrived at the location. Medical helicopter is going to land for pick up at Needles Airport.

As of 4:55pm PT, medical helicopter is 6 minutes away from landing at Needles Airport.

As of 5:04pm PT, the ambulance with patient is at Needles Airport. Command at location terminated. Fire department crews are heading back to station.

Needles, CA: Police pursuit ends with a person arrested and the recovery of a stolen vehicle and property.

Needles, CA: Police pursuit ends with a person arrested and the recovery of a stolen vehicle and property.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at around 6:56am PT on Friday, March 30th, 2018, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station received information that stolen a 2005 Chevy Tahoe had entered the city limits.

The vehicle was stolen the previous day during a residential burglary.

Deputies conducted an area check and located the vehicle parked in front of a home in the 1200 block of Riverview Lane in Needles, California.

Deputies conducted surveillance on the vehicle until a white male approached the vehicle and drove away.

Deputies initiated a traffic stop at which time the suspect sped away from deputies, resulting in a pursuit.

The suspect driver, later identified as 25 year old Anthony Mayfield of Mohave Valley, Arizona led deputies into Arizona.

The pursuit ended shortly after when Mayfield caused the stolen vehicle to become stuck in soft sand.

Mayfield fled on foot but was taken into custody as he hid in a near-by shed.

Mayfield is on active parole in Arizona for vehicle theft and had an active no bail warrant for a parole violation.

Mayfield was turned over to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Department.

Stolen property from several residential burglaries that occurred in Needles, California was recoverd from inside the vehicle.

The victms of the burglaries were contacted and their property returned.

Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a person for domestic battery and burglary following barricade situation.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 11:44am PT on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station responded to the 400 block of D Street in Needles, California reference a domestic disturbance and shots fired.

Upon arrival, a male subject, later identified as 27 year old Vincent Fernandez from Needles, California, barricaded himself, along with the victim and their child in the residence and refused to come out.

Deputies distracted Fernandez, which allowed the victim and child to get out of the residence.

Deputies contacted Fernandez at the rear door of the residence and began negotiating with Fernandez to come out.

Additional personnel breached the front door and entered the residence, and Fernandez was taken into custody without incident and transp orted to the Colorado River Station jail for booking.

Fernandez was booked on Domestic Violence and Burglary.

The victim was transported to the Colorado River Medical Center, via ambulance for treatment.

The child was taken and placed into the protection of Child Protective Services.

Downtown Needles, CA: Short police pursuit ends with deputies arresting a person for felony evading and possession of controlled substance.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, at 1:25am PT on Wednesday, March 28th, 2018, Sergeant Busto from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a black Honda sedan for failing to stop at a posted stop sign at West Broadway and H Street in Downtown Needles, California.

The suspect sped away at a high rate of speed leading law enforcement through the city streets at speeds up to 50 miles per hour and failing to slow down or stop at any of the numerous stop signs.

The driver, later identified as 38 year old Jaime Vizcaino from Modesto, California, suddenly stiopped and jumped out of his car at B Street and Acoma, and ran between several houses.

Jaime Vizcaino was located moments later and arrested without incident.

A baggy of suspected methamphetamine was recovered from the driver’s compartment of his vehicle.

Additionally, his girlfriend and vehicle owner 32 year old Christy Pierce from Modesto, California, was found walking in the area by Deputy Vega.

When Vega contacted her, she was in possession of a controlled substance and arrested for HS11350(a).

Jaime Vizcaino was arrested and booked at the Colorado River Station Jail for felony evading arrest and possession of a controlled substance with his bail set at $100,000.00.

Christy Pierce was booked into jail for possession of a controlled substance and was set to be released from the jail with an order to appear in court per the cite-release.
