Downtown Needles, CA: Deputies arrested a person for resisting arrest and violation of Post Release Community Supervision.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station, on Friday, March 9th, 2018, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Colorado River Station saw 24 years old Joseph Jenkins from Needles, California traveling in a vehicle near West Broadway and J Street in Downtown Needles, California.

Deputies were familiar with Jenkins and knew he had a no bail warrant for violation of Post Release Community Supervision (P.R.C.S.).

Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle Jenkins was traveling in, but the driver did not stop immediately.

The driver drove a short distance and let Jenkins out of the vehicle.

Jenkins then ran from the vehicle with deputies in foot pursuit.

Jenkins was apprehended approximately two blocks away and taken into custody for PC148(a)(1) Resisting Arrest and PC3455 Violation of Post Release Community Supervision.

Jenkins was booked into Colorado River Station Jail without bail.
