News Update!!: Needles, CA: Latest Information: Semi Truck Crash along Interstate 40 at East Broadway.

ZachNews has received the latest information regarding the semi truck crash along Interstate 40 at East Broadway in Needles, California on Thursday, April 12th, 2018.

ZachNews has learned from the California Highway Patrol that the driver in the semi truck the “resting comfortably at a Las Vegas hospital.”

The California Highway Patrol is checking their story on what direction the semi truck was heading.

Initially, the California Highway Patrol said the semi truck was traveling westbound along Interstate 40, now staying that the semi truck with tractor trailer “combination vehicle attempted to rail slide over East Broadway while traveling eastbound on I-40.”

This new information also contradicts pictures taken by the California Highway Patrol – Needles showing westbound side of Interstate 40, facing west, with damage along the guard rail overpass above East Broadway.

The California Highway Patrol is saying that the pictures are facing east along eastbound Interstate 40.

ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez took this pictures, facing west, of the guard rail damage and tractor trailer is on the westbound side of Interstate 40.

Earlier, the California Highway Patrol said that the crash occurred along westbound Interstate 40 at West Broadway (also known as Needles Highway).

The information was also posted on the California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident information page.

The information was later updated to East Broadway.

The southbound right lane of East Broadway as well as the left lane of westbound Interstate 40 has scene has been cleared.
