Thunderstorms over communities near Route 66 and Interstate 40.

Weather radar from KNBC Channel 4 shows moderate to heavy rain with possible thunder and lightning over communities near Route 66 and Interstate 40 near Fenner, California and Essex, California.

Some small thunderstorms were seen on the weather radar pooping up near U.S. 95 and Interstate 40 just west of Needles, California and lightning in the clouds could be seen distance in the mountains west of Needles, California.

In case the thunderstorms get worst and you’re in the area of Fenner, California, Essex, California, and Needles, California, please be on watch and ready for the thunderstorms and if there’s any flooding along dirt channels, creeks, or rivers, stay away and don’t drive through the flooded roadway.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch until 5:00am PT/MST on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 for portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California, and Nevada, including the following areas, in northwest Arizona, Lake Havasu and Fort Mohave and Northwest Deserts. In southeast California, Cadiz Basin, Eastern Mojave Desert, Morongo Basin, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley, and Western Mojave Desert. In Nevada, Esmeralda and Central Nye County and Western Clark and Southern Nye County.

Another round of storms moved into San Bernardino County, California on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 and Monday, January 23rd, 2017 bring cold temperatures, lots of heavy rain, and lots of snow to the area.

At around 2:36pm PT on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017, ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez captured on camera the storms entering into the Victorville, California and Hesperia, California area.

At around 2:41pm PT on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017, ZachNews heard the call of a vehicle stuck in a wash with 2 people inside the vehicle in the Cajon Pass area near Cajon Boulevard at Swarthout Canyon Road in Keenbrook, California.

NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 Journalist Mekahlo Medina captured on camera (Pictured Above) 2 people inside a blue truck surrounded by water.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department’s Swift Water Rescue Team was called and when arrived, began rescue operations.

During the rescue operations, an additional engine for down stream spotter was request as the water in the wash continued to rise.

According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, rescue operations were complete with all victims rescued.

At around 2:42pm PT on Sunday, January 22nd, 2017, ZachNews Photojournalist Zachary A. Lopez captured on camera heavy rain and cold winds began to blow into the High Desert Gateway in Hesperia, California.

People were seen running to their vehicles as the heavy rain and cold winds continued into the evening.

Well heading back to Victorville, California, the heavy rain began to cause roadways to flood for motorists along Amargosa Road well creating a beautiful rainbow to the north.

Motorists drove along the wet conditions in Victorville, California miles away from the Cajon Pass area of San Bernardino County, California where reports of snow falling were being reported.

Storms continued to move to the east across the high deser, but communities like Daggett, California; Newberry Springs, California; Ludlow, California; and Amboy, California had some of the sunshine breaking through the storm clouds.

Storm clouds were seen to the east of Needles, California in the mountains of Mohave County, Arizona.

When storms capable of producing cold temperatures, gust winds, heavy rain, and lots of snow prepare to move into San Bernardino County, California, please make sure to have an emergency survival kit ready; including a first aid kit, bring extra warm clothing, blankets, boots, rechargeable flashlight, food and water; drive carefully and stay away from flooded roadways; make sure to fully charge up cellular phone and bring an extra cellular phone battery also fully charged; and make sure to bring your snow tire chains if driving up into snowy conditions.

As seen in the video from NBC affiliate KNBC Channel 4 (Shown Above) of the swift water rescue in the Cajon Pass area, the San Bernardino County Fire Department wants to remain everybody to do not drive through moving water; “Turn Around, Don’t Drown“.
